Local author Nancy Gray and her husband, Gordon, owned and operated a dairy farm in Groveton, NH for over 30 years where they also raised their five children. During that time, Nancy was a member of the NH Farm Buerau, a 4-H Leader, a Director on the Board of Granite State Dairy Promotion, and served on the Northumberland School Board. For 12 years, Nancy wrote and edited the “Farm & Forest Pages” for the Coös County Democrat weekly newspaper.

Nancy is the author of two books, The Dairy Diaries (2009), and The Dairy Diaries: Vol. II (2017), which focus on her experiences as a wife, mother, and farmer. Nancy is pleased to announce the publishing of a third book, A Harvest of Memories (2019), which is a collection of columns from the Coös County Democrat’s “Farm & Forest Pages.” These stories offer a glimpse into the life and work of the Gray’s farm family over the years, and chronicle life at GrayMist Farm by month and season, highlighting the successes and challenges, the sad and happy times in the lives of a typical farm family.

Nancy has also published a children’s book, Kowz & Co. Activity Book (2019) which features a variety of games and puzzles dedicated to educating young people about cows and dairy farming.
