We hope everyone had an awesome First Friday yesterday! The rain lifted long enough to enjoy the arts, music, and tasty food. So many things to be glad about! Speaking of, today is Be Glad Day here in our cozy little town!

1pm - 3pm: Karaoke with Phil Rivera on the Library Lawn - get your glad song ready!

As of the writing of this post, they have recycled over 155 MILLION milk jugs... holy cow! Milk jugs may be the primary plastic found in Green Toys, but they occasionally use other recycled plastics as well (like yogurt cups!) which are cleaned, shredded into flakes, turned into raw material, and then mixed with food-safe coloring. By using recycled plastic they divert material from landfills, save on energy, and reduce their carbon footprint.
All Green Toys products are packaged in 100% recycled cardboard. No plastics, twist ties, cellophane wrappers, etc… If there’s concern for products falling out of the box, they use 100% recycled water bottles. Green Toys is the recipient of the prestigious Greener Packaging Award, which is the nation’s only independent sustainable packaging award.
